Yumion Coming soon to iPhone

Price and health, on one card.

Standing at the shelf, stuck between two boxes? Scan one. Yumion tells you if it’s a good price here and nearby, and how good it is for the people you feed, per serving. One look, both answers.

What a scan looks like. The product, prices and stores are made up for this page.

Most apps answer one question.

Health apps score the box and ignore the price. Deal apps show the price and ignore what’s inside. At the shelf you’re asking both, so Yumion answers both, side by side.

Is this a good price?

The price on the shelf tag in front of you, not a marked-up online one. Compared with stores nearby, per unit and per serving, and always labeled with where it came from and how old it is.

Is this good for us?

A score from 0 to 100 built from nutrition, additives and how processed it is, with its reasons in plain words. It informs. It never scolds.

A scan takes about as long as a glance.

  1. Point.

Aim at the barcode. Yumion holds on it the moment it reads.

  2. Catch the tag.

Tilt down to the shelf tag. It reads the price, the unit price and any sale.

  3. Decide.

One card: the price here, the stores nearby, the health score and why. Keep it on your list, or put it back.

Per serving, for your table.

Tell Yumion who you cook for: how many, any diets, any allergies. Prices are worked out per serving for the people you actually feed. If something has an ingredient someone can’t have, it says so, for that person. An allergy flags a product. It never changes the score.

  • AlexNo diet notes
  • Riley, 7Peanut allergy
  • Jo, 4No diet notes
Contains peanuts. Not for Riley.Flagged for one person. The health score stays the same.

If it can’t read it, it says so.

Glare, a torn tag, a sale sticker over half the price. Yumion would rather tell you than guess.

Couldn’t read that tag.

No price gets recorded from a tag it can’t read.

Which tag is this one’s?

When it isn’t sure which tag sits under which product, it asks you.
